2009_01_31 East Belmont  Slow start but it ended up with a bang. Foxes went up the mountain and down the mountain three times over the course of 2-1/2 hours...or was that just one fox!

2009_02_07 Glenwood  Images of horses, hounds, people, and...a skunk...in broad daylight. Hmmmmmmmm

2009_02_09 Elmwood  Hounds, children, smiling faces...and geese!

2009_02_14 Mt. Sharon  Valentines Day brings us two foxes chased to ground plus some luverly shots of Little Hugh, Big Hugh, and all of us getting thrown out as the hounds cross the road and go to Hawfield.

2009_02_21 Retreat  A fairly slow day, but Greta's stock-tying lesson made up for it!

2009_02_28 Kenwalt  A joint meet with Howard County hounds at Kenwalt. Cold winds and sliding temperatures made for a long day, but several foxes were viewed and chased.

2009_03_04 Cloverfields  Because of the snow, everyone went on foot, except for me who rode with Andy on an ATV. Jeesh, go figure. Anyway, some shots of hounds in the snow and Andy on the ATV refusing a coop.

2009_03_07 Glenwood  A splendid day, despite the heat. At least three foxes found and run. Some great shots of Tony and hounds in the brush pile. Lot of smiling faces, including Barclay tying a stock, Vaughan tying her shoe, and Janet tying one on!

2009_03_14 Mt. Sharon  A soggy day, but the hounds sounded marvelous running a fox to ground on the mountainside. Some nice shots of Sally's troupe getting ready.

2009_03_18 Willow Lawn  A great Spring like day for a ride. The action picked up on the way back to the meet. Only one more hunt left in the 08-09 season.

2009_03_21 Last Hunt  The last day of the 08-09 KHC season....A lot of ground covered and many stories told. See you in September for a new season of fine hunting in Central Virginia.

2009_04_23 Fox Kits  Photos taken in Culpeper County this past spring of fox kits playing near their den

2009_06_09 Hound Walk & puppies  Photos of the hounds being exercised and some special shots of puppies both two and four legged! Little James Noel meets his canine contemporaries.

2009_09_12 Mt. Sharon  Tally Hooooo! A new season begins with a glorious morning atop Mt. Sharon. Puppies chime in with a rapid pack in full cry. What a a great time to be alive. Welcome back everybody!

2009_09_19 East End  Lots of people pictures: Lex gets a hand with her tack, Diane and Anita do a hairnet, Baby James goes on his first pony ride. And, oh yeah, hounds had at least three good runs this spectacular September morning

2009_09_21 Waverly  A stellar sunrise at the Master's. Portraits of some familiar faces both equine and human.

2009_09_26 The Puppy Show  Despite pouring rain, the annual hound fundraiser was well attended relatively dry, thanks to the Wheelers erecting two big tents. Judges Jake Carle and Albert Poe chose Heathen and Hades this year's winners.

2009_09_30 Retreat  A beautiful morning at our favorite fixture. Several foxes run and sent to ground. Nice photos of people, horses, hounds, and the field with the majesty of the Blue Ridge in the background.

2009_10_03 Glenwood  A foggy day at Glenwood. Four foxes briefly chased, but a tough day to hunt for some unknown reason.

2009_10_07 River Uno Farm  A beautiful morning at River Uno Farm. Several nice chases, including our first view (and blurred photo) of a healthy red. Susie gets some nice shots of Jennifer taking a coop cleverly!

2009_10_17 Old Raptor  Spectacular morning light illuminates hounds, huntsman and staff. Also check out Gordon Merrick's photos of little James.

2009_10_19 Edgewood  A stellar morning at Edgewood. Some nice images of Tony and hounds in a cornfield. Also, autumn leaves reflected in the Rapidan, baleful hounds in the truck, and shots of the field approaching round out the gallery.

2009_10_24 Cloverfields  A stormy opening day, but what hunting! At least four foxes viewed and chased up and down the mountain. Lots of photos of the first flight taking coops, fall foliage and a fox coming out of the woods.

2009_10_26 The Chimneys  A spectacular day at the Chimneys, with foxes going round and round and round. Check out Susie's incredible shot of a leaping fox!

2009_10_31 East End  Check out these hallloween costumes! Chef Andy, Greta as a blushing bride, and the make-up job by Anita and Tiffany, not on themselves but on their horses! Spectacular!

2009_11_06 Glenwood  The fox went round three times. We might have even seen him if we'd stayed in the same place!

2009_11_09 Waverley  A beautiful day in the Master's hood

2009_11_16 Mt. Sharon  Just a few shots at Mt. Sharon with Janet Pendergrast, Chuck Meehan, and Tony, hounds, and Claudia.

2009_11_18 The Chimneys  A fine day at the Chimneys but difficult scenting for some odd reason. Some nice shots of 1st flighters taking that rail fence. Also, check out that big rack buck that came out of the woods

2009_11_20 Ben Coolyn  Rain rain go away! Finally some sunshine, but wet ground forced us to Ben Coolyn, where we had good hunting anyway with Thornton Hill.

2009_12_03 Retreat  A magnificent day with the Greensprings MD pack in our favorite fixture.

2009_12_05 Jacqueline Hall  Not much hunting on this chill snowy day, but lots of ghostly images of riders, horses and hounds.

2009_12_12 Ben Coolyn  Tough scenting conditions led to a brief outing followed by a lengthy and delicious hunt breakfast. Some nice images of riders, hounds, and a six pointer.

2009_12_24 Glenwood  What do you do with a pack of hounds following a two foot snowfall? Take them for a walk. And actually two foxes were chased...well, slogged after is a better description.

2010_01_02 East Belmont  A fridgid day, with wind chills in the single digits. A field of two brave souls. These photos may be used as evidence in their committment hearings. Still, one fox chased right off the bat!

2010_01_09 Kenwalt  Slightly warmer and calmer weather brought the field and six foxes out of their respective lairs for a splendid day at Kenwalt.

2010_01_13 Rocklands  Halleluliah, Amen, there are foxes back at Rocklands!

2010_01_16 Elmwood  At least five Reds and five hours of hunting! A great outing from Elmwood to Retreat

2010_01_23 Mt. Sharon  Good hunting on a perfect day, despite the fact that Tony our huntsman had to sit it out while recuperating from abdominal surgery. Barclay did a fine job filling in.

2010_01_27 Chimneys  A nice hack to Chimneys from Retreat then the action started with two Reds to ground with "huntsman of the day", Greg Fisher.
